Angels with swollen mouth

Therese May 21, 2008 09:21 PM

My brother's angelfish have swollen mouths. I don't see any other signs of illness. They're eating fine, and so far they're acting normally.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Therese

Hmmm. That's an odd one. I have never had any angelfish so I will promote your post so hopefully it will catch the attention of some angelfish keepers.
If you don't get a response quick enough or the status of your brother's fish change, just update me and I'll see what I can find for you. I am pretty good with diseases, but not so much with odd things like this. Sorry.

Hey Phishie, no problem. Thanks for answering though. My brother and I haven't seen it either and we've both kept angels quite a bit.

I'm going to check with the aquarium store a bit later after they open. If they know what it is, I'll post it here.

Thanks. They aren't mouth brooders are they? That might make the mouth a little swollen looking.
