If anyone has any experience breeding these fish, I would love some advice. I'm thinking female, based on a few things I have read. If anyone can tell for sure, thanks.

I'm not experienced with this type of cichlid in particular, but going off of ways to sex from other types, I'd say female.

According to my cichlid expert, if it's an AC it could be a female, but she said most of them have more than one stripe. It could be a hybrid in which case it could be difficult to tell the sex. Males usually have a pointed anal fin and bright eye spots.
