Color Changing Water

wondering if anyone could help me figure out why my newly inherited goldfish having amazing color changing water. i put 6 big goldfish in a newly cleaned tank and 3 days later the water started turning orange. so i emptied half the water and added new and that only made it worse. 3 days later the water is kinda cloudy and orangish even worse than before. previous owners had the same problem... someone please help, i would like to see my new goldfish. thanks for any help.

Orange water huh? That's really strange. The only reason I can think of is that the goldfishes color is coming off? I've heard of that before. Is their color fading or are the normal color?

Perhaps, it is from the tank itself... what did you clean it with?

Another thought is: it's part of the cycling? but I've never seen this. The only time my water ever changed color is when I added clear water to my tank it made it turn pink for a couple days.
