My fire eel jumped out of the tank 2days ago, I saw him immediately and put him back in. Today he was covered in a fungus and floating upside down... I moved him to a hospital tank and in doing so the fungus was removed, but what can I do to help him... He is about 70cm long and the oly reason I have a tank... Please help me save him.

I wonder if he has internal injuries from the fall?! I have stabalised him but putting him between two small plant pots so he doesnt just keep flipping over.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I wish I could have helped you, but my knowledge on diseases is mostly with your typical fishes. I don't know much about exotic pets like stingrays, eels, etc. What may have happened is he/she did a lot of damage to the epidermis which removes the slime coat needed to protect the fish from bacteria. I'm not sure though.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss.
