I got this fish today and have no clue what it is, It has a very small mouth and is about 10" long, and is very active, knocking down everything in the tank, but a good looking fish

I can't help but wonder where or why you would obtain a creature without knowing a bit about it,so i'm going to say that this is a member of the characin family, Black banded Leporinus or so very close resemblance, read up and give him a happy home.
