goregrind Apr 11, 2009 05:42 PM

my pleco ranges in color from almost pure black to cream colored with dark spots. is this normal?

the darkest ive seen him was when he was eating the "magic shell" and floating reptile sticks i feed to my caecilian, and the lightest was after a water change.

is darker better

Its not normal, but is isn't indicative of a disease either. As long as it is eating and acting normal you have nothing to worry about.
