Snakelock anemone help

chelle_louise Feb 28, 2008 10:36 AM

Hiya, i am a studend studying a marine course, and have to do an individual project. I have chosen to do it on snakelock anemones, and which substrate they prefer. My teacher has provided a raceway tray, but i am struggling to find out what conditions are needed for them in captivity(such as light, methods of temperature control, currents etc) i would be very grateful if anyone could give me any information.

I appreciate the struggle for finding proper research for marine bio courses. I was able to find just a brief mention of rock pools being the natural substrate where Anemonia sulcata lives. Also, if your school offers journal resources you should search those and read most of the articles. Even if the project isn't exactly like yours sometimes authors include basic information on species in the introduction of their published paper. Also, there are quite a few articles you can read if you do a google search on Anemonia sulcata.

Also, I promoted your post to encourage others to reply if they know. Good luck.
