General Seahorse question

electricbluescat Jul 05, 2009 07:21 PM

I have kept them before 10 years ago in a small set up with coral for them to grab and fake plants too to hide in. How big of a tank would be needed to breed sea horses?

That would depend on what species you are looking to breed and what the requirements are for that species. For example, Hippocampus zosterae- 10 breeding pairs can be housed for breeding purposes in a 6 gallon tank where as other larger seahorses require larger tanks. Do you have a certain species in mind?
