Seeking black & white peaceful fish

PinkQueen Feb 22, 2011 10:02 PM

We have had a four striped damsel for a very long time. But he has become increasing more aggressive towards all the other fish. We have a peaceful tank and he is the only antagonist for us. We have relocated him to our hospital tank until we can find him a new home. However we would like a replacement black and white fish that would be a peaceful (and compatible) tank mate between the full grown range of 3 -5 inches. Any suggestions?

I'm no saltwater expert, but I have a couple suggestions you can think about.
1) Black Striped Cardinal: reef compatible 5"
2) Black and White Chromis: reef compatible 3"
3) Orangethroat Pikeblenny: reef compatible 6" but it's brown and white. Still pretty though.

I hope one of these will work for you.

Thanks for the ideas. We are actually considering the Banggai Cardinalfish, which is what I believe you were referring to. The possible issue is we have to find one tank raised.

I love the cardinalfish... but I was referring to this guy below. Either would make a beautiful addition to your current habitat. I applaud you for going with tank bred instead of wild caught.
