2 days ago sadly my female zebra finch had to be put to sleep leaving my male alone. I think he's coping ok but they were very close and always slept snuggled up together. I was wondering 2 things, firstly should I get him a new mate albeit a male or female? and secondly, what are the signs to look out for if he was to start pining?
