Cockatiel selling question...

buddyboat Jan 28, 2008 06:43 AM

Hi, I have a couple of baby Tiels that are about ready to sell.
I was wondering what do you put the bird in to send it to its new home? Bag...box???
I will be putting an ad in my local newspaper so the people will be picking their new bird up at my home (I won't be shipping them).
Thanks!

Many people ask that the interested buyer bring their own cage/carrier to take their new bird home in. If absolutely necessary though I would recommend a cardboard box. Having the buyer bring a cage or carrier helps to show their interest and intent in caring for the new bird instead of them just showing up expecting you to take care of everything.

I agree. It help you know they at least have that and wont have the bird living in the box you give them. When I got mine I purchased the cage and all required items at the same time, the still put her in a box and they recommend it to keep the bird calm for the ride home

I would Require whomever is Picking these Precious 'Teils up to Bring a Cage,That is what a Responsible Owner should do.Your Requirement is to Provide a Healthy Birdie, that's all..(Smiles)
