Yellow Naped Amazon

eitzkow2 Dec 18, 2008 10:20 PM

My family has been considering for a year to add a Yellow-Naped Amazon to the household, and I was wondering if anyone knew of good, reputable breeders. We have been having difficulty finding a breeder in our area (Chicago), and would be fine with having the bird shipped, though we would drive to pick it up if it was within a reasonable distance. Thanks!

I am not real familiar with breeders in your area, we are about six hours away in Missouri and I might be able to find some in the St.Louis Mo area or in the KC, MO area but not in Illinois. Have you checked with your local bird club or a local avian vet? Usually those are the two best places for find a reputable breeder. Most bird clubs will know who actually does well with their birds and what types of birds they raise. If you don't know of any local bird clubs I would be happy to look them up and let you know
