I have just had a 12 month old lorikeet struck with leg paralysis..it has affect both his legs and they were both very ridgid...but I have been massaging etc and his legs now work ,but his feet are still clenched, is there any way I can help him to recover...he is still well and happy will fly if I am there to catch him...and will run round on his clenched feet,
is still eating every thing he is given...any help would be very much appreciated...cheers tnx

I am sorry I am not sure how to help you except to have you check with an avian vet. There are several viruses, vitamin toxicities, and diseases that can all cause paralysis. Some are treatable others are not but without a vet actually testing to see what the real problem is I can't suggest any helpful hints.
