What are some of your best stories about your feathered friends?

Funny stories; sad stories; why you got your bird stories; stories about why your bird(s) give you pause; stories about the mischief your birds get into or cause; stories about how you spoil your bird(s); stories about how your bird did something in the nick of time and had they not done what they did something unforeseen would have happened; stories that make you wonder if it's really a parrot you are talking about.

There doesn't seem to have been much activity lately, so thought this might help.
