Has anyone ever gone on a riding vacation? I found a site, www.equestrianadventurer.com, that lists a bunch of ones that look really cool (especially this one - http://equestrianadventurer.com/EQA_view.php?tid=55 - an African safari on horseback!).
Are they really all that fun, though? Or is it just basically a trail ride and all you get to do is walk around for like an hour a day?
I can't imagine being in Africa on horseback as a basic trail ride. The thing that will make the differance is the area which will be very differant then what we have around here. Not only that but the wildlife....WOW! I would do anything to see a herd of zebras in there natural habitat. If you have the chance to do, go for it. I've also heard that riding through the canyon is amazing also.
