Hi im new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge with Llama's. I have a pet llama and i need to know what to use for a dewormer such as ivermect. Do i use a cattle one or an equine one? i'm not sure.

Hmmm.....I don't know about using ivermectin in llamas, but I think Fenbendazole (like in *Safeguard* dewormers) is usually safe. You should really talk to your veterinarian to find out for sure what you can safely use and in what dosage.
Hope this helps!

Hi,

I am part of a llama 4H group. For our llamas we use Panacur deworming paste that comes in big tubes and you just squirt it into the llama's mouth. This is easiest if you have a chute to restrain them, and tie their head short. Ask your vet for the correct dosage (usually by weight).
