Hello All,
I found about 50 little centipede-looking bugs under a piece of cardboard in the hottest part of he tank. I scraped them together and vacuumed them up. Are they some kind of parasite?

Could be dermestid beetle larva, fly larva, or something like that. Moths, flies, and dermestids take up residents in my roach colony on occasion.
They must be eating the roach turds. Unless they are vegetarian. Which I doubt. I'm going to make a slide with fresh clear nail polish, catch one somehow and entomb it in clear plastic. Then I'm going to have someone take a pic of it so we can see it full sized. The invertebrate guys at UC Berkley or UC Davis should be able to ID it. It's too interesting to pass up.
