I currently keep a rose hair and a pink toe. Both were fairly affordable. It seems that some of the larger and some of the more colorful species are quite pricey. If i was to get spiderlings about how long do they take to grow?
Thanks Steven

My Mexican red-Knee took about a year and maybe seven molts to reach the size it is now, which has held for over six months. As far as I could tell. T's are new ground for me.

I was thinking more of the versacolors and birdeaters. A year isnt to bad. I'm trying to avoid having tiny Ts for multiple years. All my current Ts were bought as adults
I keep Pokies almost exclusively. They grow REMARKABLY fast up unil the body reaches a length of around two inches. They molt often and seem to almost double their body size when they do. After they reach that size they slow down quite a bit. I've had two males mature, an ornata that matured in about a year and a half and a fasciata that took a little longer than that.
Although pokies are the only large spiders I have kept, I have heard it is similar with other large genuses. I would imagine with a T. blondi, however, they would slow down at a larger size, comparable to their full adult size. My boyfriend keeps Acanthascurria and many of his spiders show similar growth patterns.
All species grow at different rates. Arboreals will have a faster growth rate than terrestrials, and tropical species will have faster growth rates than desert species.
My Poecilotheria fasciata has gone from a 7/8" 2nd instar to 4-3/4" in under 3 years with 7 molts.
My Aphonopelma chalcodes has gone from 1/4" to 1-7/8" in 3.5 years and has had 6 molts.
