Hi Guys
I've been itching for more than a week now since I handle some rose hair tarantulas a while ago. Is there any good suggestion what I can do about this itching? It's killing me.
Thanks
Benny

I've never itched more than a couple hours. You must have some sort of allergic reaction to the chemical component of the setae. You can use some duct tape to pull any setae out that may still be stuck in your skin. Other than that some benedryl cream is about the only thing that might help the itch.

Thank you for your advice. It dose stop the itch for a short time. But guess I'm just too alargic to rosehairs. My doc say all i can do is wait and don't get close to rosehairs again. lol

If you are heeding that advice, then you may also want to steer clear of Acanthoscurria, Brachypelma, Lasiodora, Paraphysa, and Theraphosidae. They posess the same type of setae (Type III).
