A moth to identify, please...

pilonm Jun 05, 2009 11:22 AM

Hello all,

Here is a moth I photographierd at the site "Old Man in the Mountain" (White Mountains, New Hampshire) in september 2008.

Is it possible to identify the species, genus or family?

Thank you very much for your help

It's a noctuid, Sympistis piffardi. Beautiful bug, wish I could find one.

Thank you Don,

You're right one more time!

I've identified it as Oncocnemis piffardi but I think that both genus are the same.

Cheers,

Michel
