Ok, Rigby is OBSESSED with rubbing his face on the lamp shade, which results in a 7am loud crashing noise when it falls and the bulb breaks....
tape, bad smelling sprays, = nothing deters him.

how do i get the lamp to stop sliding off the night stand?

Put it away for a week or so and see if you can break him of the habit...

well...it's both the living room and the bedroom main lamps... would be hard to do without, but also not sure of where'd we'd put them... apartment is crammed

I did try 'training' him with a water gun, shooting him in the behind if he did it, but now, he doesn't flinch!

They certainly are stubborn little creatures!

Maybe you could try giving him a new toy. That might help him focus on something other than the lamps...

Try fastening lamp to table with double sided tape. Works for me.
