I went thru about three years of posts tonight, reminiscing on old posts about my boys and fun posts and photos of your kitties.

This board is a great source of comfort as I learn to say goodbye to Pookey and the empty house without my little shadow of 19 years, and deal with resurfacing feelings of loss for Stanley, who has been gone for three years now.

Thank you so much for the memories. I am truely thankful for this source of fun, sharing, and now comfort. We've slowed our posting down considerably in the past year, but there are many memories and fun threads to re-read tonight.

Have a happy Thanksgiving with your families tomorrow. I am in Texas this week with mine. My 8 year old niece is a joy!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We're having a small one, my husband and me, no visitors. Gonna cook some steaks and just relax all day. Probably watch a little football.

The cats are sleeping upstairs. I don't know if they're getting special treats today, they've been fighting lately and don't deserve rewards for that.

Hope everyone has a good day, whatever your plans.

We stayed home, for the first time in over 30 years. Cooked a bird, with trimmings, and shared with the felines that love snackies. Kahsa won't eat any food that does not say " premium" on the can. GLOWS to you, when you are ready, Pookey and Stanley will send you another kitty (or two) to love. Nothing will ever replace them, but they know your heart is big enough for more. It is good to have a "family" of cat people to lean on.

That's wonderful that you found comfort in reading the old threads on this board. Both Stanley and Pookey were a major part of this board since we all came on it. I, too, have been reading old threads and it's like living all of the emotions, both good and bad, over again.

What a great life Stanley and Pookey had with you as their mother. They knew love and security every day of their lives.

I truly hope that you consider rescuing another kitty or two in the future so that another cat can have a quality life under your care.

It's so hard to have an empty house after years of conversations (well, with Sam it WAS conversations) and kitty kisses. But somehow we all go on, no matter how hard.
