amanda_wininger Jul 23, 2012 11:28 AM

ok short version i messed up didnt have the funds to get kilo my cats revolution i (for the first time in my life) bought i flea collar, i know now biggest mistake i have made, ok he now chewed his tail bloody my vet hte daughter was totally optimistic about treatments we had the tail is gone, i hate that but in her opinion and her fathers (il tell more about him later) that was a must.. she thinks that a medication regimen may help he basically tried to convince there was absolutely no hope, i have read alot of articles over the last few hours to get an idea of what to do. ive read alot lol and ive only ran across 3 stories that they couldnt modifiy the behavior and the cat had to be put down. im opitmistic but know it may be hopeless in the end, im sorry if i was the one sick i would try anything even if they were newer treaments, in my book hes worth giving every chance.... sorry rambling ... ok im trying to find anyone that may know where to start with treating hypeesthesia its not what he had but the meds for that can help my cat just not sure where to start and the father of my vethas no clue where to start and my vet wasnt available at the time of the call.. i think i may need to find a new vet one that wont let there beliefs be turned by others that are just stuck in the old ways lol or something like that... any and all info is appreciated and thanks ahead of time

Hello,

From your post it's difficult to know exactly what you are asking advice with, however, the very best thing you can do is consult with another vet.

Sorry, but I cannot advise how best to treat your cat.
