We need a litterbomb mission! Mommy's sister, AuntieTeri, has a ruptured disk in her back that is oozing gel on her nerves. She is in tremendous pain and can't drive, pick up her little 4 year old son, or even walk. She has to crawl to get to the bathroom. She needs surgery to fix her back, and the insurance company is fighting with her and trying to say it isn't necessary. First they said she had to quit smoking, so she did. Then, after the surgery was scheduled, they decided that she had to wait for a physical therapy evaluation. The physical therapist examined her for 5 minutes and told the insurance company that there was no way she could do physical therapy and needed surgery. Her surgery was rescheduled for tomorrow. Now they are delaying it again, claiming that she needs a psychiatric evaluation before she can have the surgery!

Thanks Paloma! Mommy is passing that info along to her sister. They are trying to reschedule the surgery for mid February. The insurance company says they cannot give final approval for the surgery until they get the results of a drug test back from their lab in TN. The surgeon says that although he is booked up through the new date now, if there is an earlier cancellation, he will put AuntieTeri at the top of the list. The surgeon has been very good about fighting for her to get the surgery she needs. Maybe once all the litterbombs bury the insurance company they will give the approval to make it stop.
