Yet Another GLOW Request

TheZooCrew Feb 13, 2013 03:54 PM

Mommy's sister, Teri, is having a really major operation on her back today. They will most likely have to remove a disk, put in a metal plate and screws, then take a bone from her hip and fuse it around the plate and screws for stability. It is a serious surgery with a long recovery period, and in her case it's even more of a challenge because she's diabetic. That complicates everything and also makes healing even slower. We would really appreciate some GLOW and PRAYERS for a successful surgery, return of feeling in her right leg, and a quick, uncomplicated recovery.

This is Mommy's younger sister who lives in Aridzona. It is very hard for Mommy to be so far away while this is happening. Teri has a little boy, Michael, who is 4 years old. He is the one that we GLOWED for when he was first born because he had a very enlarged heart because of Teri's diabetes. Michael got a miracle, and now his mommy needs one too.

Thanks everyone.

Purrs,

BamBam

Thanks for the GLOW and PRAYERS everyone. Aunt Teri came through surgery well, and God did guide the surgeon and give him wisdom. While doing the surgery, he also found a small tear in the lining of Aunt Teri's spinal cord that was leaking spinal fluid, and he was also able to repair that. He thinks that is what has been causing the terrible headaches that Aunt Teri was just chalking up to nerves about the surgery. She is in the critical care unit and has to be immobilized for 48-72 hours. Grandma talked to her very briefly because she's on a morphine drip.
