Owt at Catnip Farm, haffing gotten awll da winnows shuttered, Oreo and Vester head down to da basement. Vester twurns on da tv to see iffun der ish any noos bout wats going on. He finds Tarrigos video showing da thweatning skies.

Finally da wind ish onwy a gentle bweeze, da sun shines once more and da rain becomes a gentle pitta pat. Effery waits a bit, but dis time it sheems to be offur and one by one da village houses empty uf der wesidents . Effery wooks awound in shock at da bare twees an upwooted bushes. Thick masses uf leefs are efferyware. Furs begin to wander owt to da stweet an gweet der fwends an naybors. Finawy effery seems to awiffe in da town square. Da pawrk ish a mess, but da gweat twee uf Kitmas still stands stwong an pwoud. Da buildings still stand, minus an occasional awning an a few shingles here and der.
