Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has seen a young California kingsnake go from extremely active and eating one week to very lethargic. She even seems like she has issues righting herself. I have an appt with the vet for another snake Monday but was curious about this girl. I'll probably take her along as well.

Does it appear to have laboured breathing and is not able to lift it's head properly?

She still doesn't seem to be able to manage her lower body but can lift her head. The vet said we will treat the RI first and hopefully the dehydration and that are what is causing her to be so lethargic. I'm giving her Baytril injections every 48 hours, although I feel like I'm hurting her more than helping with pricking her.

That's exactly what I was going to say. Get her on batryil and possibly amikacin every three days if it bad enough. Good luck though it's a tough battle when it gets bad enough for antibiotics.
