Boaphile cage stack

stryker2004 Mar 28, 2016 12:06 PM

I received a stack of 321d cages from Boaphile today and they seem pretty well made. All have heat tape installed but I noticed they don't leave an opening for the thermostat probe/s; is this normal for them? Also, I'm curious about how other's have their multi-cage units setup; do you use 5 thermostat probes or a single probe for multiple identical cages?

Thanks again

I recommend the probe be placed between the cages directly on the heater. Then you need to determine what temperature do you run the heater to maintain the desired temperature inside the cage. A good place to start is 3 or 4 degrees higher than the temp you want inside the cage. Your heater will always run a little warmer than the inside of the cage. This will NOT harm your probe. This will allow you to maintain the most consistent temps possible. :-]

I'm glad you like the cages! Thank you!
