Kings In Ontario ?

CuCulaine Oct 05, 2016 10:37 AM

Hi Steve
thanks for your reply, very interesting. Is it possible a King snake that escaped could breed with a Milk snake producing young ? Could the young also genetically throw back to the King side ? In other words could an escaped King snake up here breed with a local Milk snake & have young.
Thanks my friend.

The frost line—also known as frost depth or freezing depth—is most commonly the depth to which the groundwater in soil is expected to freeze. The frost depth depends on the climatic conditions of an area, the heat transfer properties of the soil and adjacent materials, and on nearby heat sources. For example, snow cover and asphalt insulate the ground and homes can heat the ground. The line varies by latitude, it is deeper closer to the poles. It ranges in the United States from about zero to six feet. Below that depth, the temperature varies, but is always above 0 °C. Therefore the frostline in Ontario, SW is approx 48" so the below frost line temp should be above 38C or 36.4F.
