Size Glass for Gliding Doors

Drdan1 Feb 11, 2018 11:02 PM

Hi!

I've decided to make my terrarium about 43" X 20" X 20. For measuring the glass for the sliding doors, how do I calculate the size for the two glass panels?

For the height, I assume I first measure the distance from the edge of both rails. The bottom rail has a depth of 5mm, so I would add that plus 3 mm more so that it remains inside the tracks, but can be positioned into the tracks.

For the width?

Thanks very much!

Dan

The easiest way I measure for doors is from the inside of the top (deep rail) to the top of the bottom rail and subtract a mm or 2. For width measure the entire width of the enclosure opening, divide by 2 and add an inch or so to each doors width.
