My gecko has small dark marks on his back and leg. They are not spots because they stick out. I thought it was dirt at first so I tried to wipe it to make sure and he did not seem to like being touched in that spot. I rescued him and I know he had some wounds when he was rescued. Are these rotted skin that failed to shed, scars, or parasites? Please let me know if you know!
