Cali Kingsnake not eating

alaskaskeeper Apr 24, 2020 11:07 AM

HELP! My California Kingsnake has been refusing to eat for weeks now. I'm not sure on her age, but she's 33 inches in length.
Some background: I bumped her up a rodent size because she was eating fuzzies like crazy (at least once a week). She ate one adult mouse, and then shed shortly after on 3/13. After her shed, she was not interested in food. She is still active and everything, but not eating. I thought that maybe the mice were a bit too big, so I went to buy more fuzzies, but the store gave me pinkies. She ate one on 4/7. Now it's 4/24 and I offered her a pinky this morning and she didn't eat. She's still super active and curious, so I don't think she's sick, but how long can she last on one pinky? I just don't know what to do to get her to eat as well as she was two months ago. Advice?
Oh, also I feed her in a feeding container separate from her enclosure. She's always eaten this way for me until recently.

If your snake is not eating check the conditions of the habitat. If its too cold or too hot, the snake may not eat. If the water isnt fresh, or the bedding isnt clean, the snake may not eat.

Breeding season, are you sure it’s a female? Males refuse food during mating season, totally normal.
