I've had my cali king (sub-adult) for a short time. He seems to stay on the cool side of his enclosure constantly. He ate yesterday and still is staying on the cool side. Is this normal behavior?
He has adequate hides on the warm side...

Yeah, they won't always use heat. It's just important that it's available to them when they need it.
