HELP!!! LOST MILKSNAKE

95SNAKE Nov 15, 2003 10:03 PM

I lost my Tangerine Honduran about a week ago, she escaped from an unsnapped top on her aquarium. I was looking for information from people who have lost Milk snakes before. I am not sure where to look for them, I've never lost a Milk before. Where do they usually hide? I've checked almost everywhere. Any advice from someone with Milk experience would be GREATLY appreictaed. -Tj(95Cobra@cox.net)

Same thing happened last week with a baby ratsnake here. I have found escaped snakes tend to travel along the walls, seldom do they venture out in the open to cross an open space. They also tend to be quite nearby where they were lost. We found our baby a day later, it had crawled about 15 feet into another room and was hiding underneath a bookcase. They will be underneath things, coiled around something possibly (check the table legs, around the tops, etc.) or IN something (wastebasket? open drawer?), its not going to be sitting in plain view as you no doubt have discovered. At night they will be more active, if everything fails, try looking at night with a flashlight. Good luck and keep me informed!
