turtlegirls May 06, 2004 08:00 PM

ok......the spinies i got still wont eat. i have tried everything!! the thing is: they were shipped from florida-i saved them from being soup..(pretty positive they were wild caught -i dont think they were bred for soup!!) they are active and ok in their place but they havent eaten. i got temporary tiny guppies.... but they havent eaten them. is there anything i can do? or should i keep trying and perfecting their tank?

First of all, you need to leave their habitat the hell alone. Let them get adjusted to their home and stop changing it around. Make sure they have sand that they can burrow into and still be able to reach their necks up and get air(without un-burrowing themselves). You have yet to mention how big they are, try rosy reds and feeder goldfish, then try turtle food and chicken.
