Does anyone have any red headed agamas??

tegu2002 Jun 01, 2004 09:50 AM

I really want to get a red headed agama and am working on my dad so that I can get one. I think they are soooo cute and cool. Because they only get small, I thought I would get an adult because there is a gravid one at the pet shop. I'm not sure if they are selling her though will have to see.

Would anyone advise me not to get them, I have a spare cage that is the perfect size for a couple of these gorgeous animals.

This is what I have already:

0.1 pyrenean mountain dog
2.2 cats
1.1 black and white tegus
1.1 cornsnakes
1.0.1 bearded dragons
0.0.1 rat snake
0.0.1 san diego gopher
0.1 boa constrictor
1.0 rabbit
1.1 Hogg Island Boas
1.0 Malaysian Blood python
2.2 burmese pythons
0.0.3 royal pythons
1.1 mexican milksnakes
0.0.3 fish
1.1 hamsters
1.0 Herman's Tortoise
0.0.1 green iguana

Keep 'em a lot like bearded dragons or uromastyx. They like a hot basking spot and a lot of UVB. Exposure to natural sunlight is beneficial, in fact it's a must for long term success keeping this species.
Good Luck!
All the best,
Perry
