I know many people are turned off to the zoo keeping job because of the money. I plan on working at a zoo(hopefully in a reptile area) and also breeding and selling herps(probably chondros and hognose morphs cause their my two favorites). If I ever feel the breeding buisness is starting to bring in some money I'll try to expand and hpoefully someday make it my full-time career. All for the love of herps not the cash.

There are the lucky ones that make a living breeding however most of us are lucky if it pays the feed bills. Do it because you love the animals. Good luck,
