HELP! lol

I've rescued 2 Rough Scale Plated's and the guy who gave me them told me they were a pair .. The trouble is I can't sex them like I would my other lizards. I need new method ... how do you sex these creatures please? I've made an educated guess which is the male and which is the female but i would like to know for sure.

Thanks!

Hello:
The males will have a row of enlarged scales on the undersides of the back legs. These are called femoral pores. The females will have a line along the same area but the scales are not well pronounced. In some species the male has more color around the head/neck region. If your two are opposites you will see the difference right away.
Hope this helps. Have a Great Day!!!

Femoral pores are a good diagnostic trait in nigrolineatus, flavigularis, multifasciata etc- but often does not work for Sudan ssp.....
