What to do with 2 LARGE Softshells?

snapperman Jun 21, 2004 03:33 PM

Hey everyone, I am in a dilemma! I just sold my property and the new owners are planning to get rid of the natural pond in the back yard. The problem is: I have 2 very large softshells that are approx. 18 inches a piece, I have had them since 1985. Is there an aquarium BIG enough for these guys? I really do not want to let them go into the wild because they are adapted to civilization. Maybe I should sell them to a good home with a pond? I really can not see keeping them in an aquarium. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Can you dig them a pond in your new place? If you need help placing them go to Turtlehomes.org and leave an email explaining the situation to there. Someone may be able to help you out.
