Long Tailed Grass Lizards

jdlyk Jul 04, 2004 02:17 PM

I was recently purchasing some substrate for my leopard gecko when these beauties caught my eye. I was wondering if anyone can give a basic outline of how to care for them. I have seen few websties about their care. Also, could you give me some tips on how to deal with my parents. They don't want me to get another herp. Thanks in advance for helping out. Joe

grass lizards can be cared for much like your average anole-
they are very aborreal, and will love a real plant or two with plenty to climb be it real or fake theyre diurnal and love to bask and i also use uvb. they lick water from leaves so at least a daily misting is in order. they can be quick but in my experience tend to chill out once you pickthem up and can be as personable as you could hope for in a small lizard like this. they are alot of fun and very hardy. i have noticed they will burrow under certain circumstances so a thick layer of some inviting substrate would probably be a good idea
