Has anyone spotted rubber boas in Western WA? My son is a beginning herper and would love to spot a rubber boa in the wild. Thanks.

Never have seen one in Western WA before. I heard about them in Marysville and urban forested area's like that.. but no real sightings from me.
I have seen them many times in Eastern WA by Cle-Elum and Ellensburg. Before I left last night I saw many crossing the trails after riding home.
Thanks, it looks like we may have to travel east.

You do not mention where you live in W. Washington.
The species has an extensive distribution west of the Cascade Mts. in western Washington.
I have observed a number of specimens near Carson, Skamania, and near Woodland, Washington. From other reports the past couple of years, they have been found in the vicinity of Tacoma, and along the Puget Sound shore line on the eastern side of the Olympic Peninsula.
