yesterday I noticed my g.flavi's left eye wasn't completely open and it looked sorta swollen i didn't have time to totaly check him out because i had to go to work, today i went to check on him in the morning and his eye is almost completely shut and i'd say he can only open it about 20% and its definately swollen at the bottum does anyone have an idea of what could have happened and what i should do right now i am definately considering taking him to the vet. Behavior wise he is just fine eating normally still very very active and sometimes flighty I thought i would post here before i do some research on what might be wrong because there are lots of experienced people here...well if anyone has an idea plz let me know asap

thank you
Brian

Brian,

Could be your lizard just got something in it's eye that is causing irritation and swelling. However, it could also be related to something more severe like a systemic bacterial infection of some sort. Your best bet would be to take it to a vet before you begin to have a worsening of the condition.
