grateful_one Sep 10, 2004 07:34 PM

I have two spiney softshell hatchlings on the way, and will have them in a half full 75 gal tank w/basking spot and shelf just below waterline. the tank has a submersible filter and UVB lighting. the only question i have is what should i keep the temp at, and what should the ph be? If you have any other helpful hints i would greatly apreciate them. thanks

I have three Softies ( 2 Eastern Spinies and 1 Smooth) in a 75 full of water with native fish. They have been in this setup for almost 6 months now and done great. I had them in a rubbermiad bin with a basking rock before but they never used it. I keep the water temp. around 72-74 degrees and they are active. Anywhere between 72- 78 degrees should be ideal.
