I have heard from some sites that one male betta can live with an ADF, and from others, I have heard the opposite. What sort of fishes are recommended for a community tank with ADFs?

Bettas all have different personalities, so one might do fine with ADFs and others might not. Mine is a maniac and immediately tried to kill both ADFs in the tank - I had to separate him. My frogs did fine with some cories, some otos, and some bloodfin tetras. Now they are only with otos for algae, but only because I got a larger tank for the fish.

I strongly agree about the bettas. Some are really great and some are really mean.I have 4 white cloud minnows, an otto, and a betta with my 7 frogs.I don't recommend putting fish with the frogs though.I am really pushing it as it stands. The frogs will fair better in a species only tank.
I haven't had any Bettas with my frogs, BUT I did have a Betta that lived with a newt for a long, long time... They did great together. (I took them in when my school was closing, and they'd been living together at the school already...)
