luvmybeardie Nov 15, 2004 10:03 AM

I have bought a baby black kingsnake at the reptile show yesterday for a friend of mine. It was in a container last night and i put it on the floor near my phone so I wouldnt forget about it. This morning I awoke to find it missing search the whole room and my aunts room that ajoins by a sliding door. searched her room a bit, it was missing for about 7 hours. It is about 5 or 6 inches in lenghth and pitch black. I need the money i put out for him, and my friend is going to kill me. he really really wanted him. I would hate to tell him that I lost it. Please any help at all will be appreciated!
I moved everything around and now I put a heat lamp on the floor with his container.

Make sure you check all the drawers and such in both rooms. Check all tight spaces (check any printers, mine seem to be attracted to them). I've heard good reviews about spreading flour or something similar on the floor at night so if it does come out you can follow the tracks.

I lost a kingsnake for 2 weeks once only to find it in a printer which was in a loosely taped box. Good luck and I hope you find him. Baby snakes can be tricky to find.
