my boyfriend brought home a baby boxer turtle that he found at the construction site he is working at. should i keep him till spring to give him a warm place to sleep? or is it best to let him go now? if i keep him over the winter will he still be able to survive in the wild? i have done rescues before but never wild rescues. i love turtles but dont know much about them. i will be doing my research. but just wanted to know what you guys think i shoud do about keeping him and releasing him. thank you for any help

if you keep him 2 long he will become dependant without the right kind of care...i am very knowledgable about turtles..i am an admin at billsboxturtles.com if you want to i would be willing to take him in..i just finished building an 8x10 turtle garden and only have one boxie for it(he was also rescued and only has 3 legs) email me at
