This may be the stupidest question ever asked......

herpheart13 Nov 22, 2004 06:18 PM

Can a baby softshell turtle and a baby red belly shortneck turtle thrive together for a litle while peacefully or not?

Believe me much more stupid questions have or will be asked. LOL!!(actually the only stupid ones are ones not asked or asked too late!!)

They may get along for a while but their requirements are different and it really would not be a good idea to keep them together at all. I always caution folks against keeping softies and hardshell turtles together. Not a good mix.

Ha ha, thanks! Could I keep a red belly shortneck with a cooter, slider, mud, and musk turtles? I really want one, but I don't want to buy another cage for it!

I've kept cooters and sliders and even a painter together for 10 years now. All are fine. Mud and musk might not like the same environment. They like it little more shallow.
