Most herper genetics websites are the genetics equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot, ranging from with a small pistol to with a large bore shotgun.

Your best bet is to start with a genetics text. Once you have learned standard genetics, you can get lists of snake mutants and their combinations. I think Elrod and Stansfield's Schaum's Outline of Genetics (3rd or 4th edition) is good. I like the problem solving approach. New, paperbound copies list at around $16 at Amazon. The other day I saw 4th edition copies for $8 at the nearest Half Price Books store. While the book isn't perfect, its price and virtues outweigh its faults. Most other genetics texts that I've seen have just as many faults and cost more.

Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in the book. I am just a satisfied owner of the 3rd edition.

I dont know any specific websites but i have some terms you can research (they are basic genetics) that might help you out.

-Alleles
-Dominance (Complete/Incomplete)
-Punnent Squares
-Heterozygous
-Homozygous

...These may help you out a bit! We just covered 'em in my Bio class about a month ago!
