I have purchased a couple of corn morphs recently and I know everyone says frozen thawed but it doesn’t seem natural. I have a Ball Python that I have fed live rats to for the last 3 ½ years I never leave live food in his cage unattended. If he isn’t interested I will remove the rat and try again another day. Never any problems and anyway these morphs were raised the first couple of months on F/T now when served live they just swallow them alive not that they can run away. I was wondering as the mice get larger and start moving will the snakes get the strike and constrict instinct. I have never owned hatchlings only W/C adults and sub adults so I don’t know how hatchlings feed. Again I do not leave live food with my snakes unattended any time.

Thanks
Morphman

Hatchling corns often swallow prey alive(unless it's dead already), they rarely constrict prey until they get larger.
