Need help with several ??'s for ADF's

LuvK9 Jan 21, 2005 08:51 PM

I have my tank set up with colored pebbles (bought at Petcetra) and now have been told they are not good. I put in a tray and 2 mini pots, I believe they are terra cotta and got them from a craft store. The tray is for the food and the pots are for the ADF to hide in. Also have been told they are not good and to remove them. I feed them frozen bloodworms, how much should I being giving them ? They are small, maybe an inch and I have two white clouds and one neon tetra, so really there is no competion for the bloodworms. Appreciate all opinons and advice. Thanks

i think your setup sounds fine.. as long as there is no dye or dust running into the water from the rocks, i dont see any problems. i think you can just drop the frozen bloodworms into the water, ADFS are really good w/ their scent to find food.

The gravel sounds fine.I wouldn't worry about it.As far as the pots;If anything I would boil some water on the stove and put them in for 5 minutes.Let them cool and they should be fine to use.
Also vary the frogs' diet.Just bloodworms is bad news.Try mysis, white worms, tubiflex worms, enriched brine, chopped up earth worms, glass worms, plankton, krill. There is tons of things to try,but definately offer a variety or rotation. You will find that the frogs will live long healthy lives.
